IndivisibleNOCO endorses incumbent Julie Pignataro for City Council District 2. Her top priorities are climate, transportation and housing, all of which are critical issues that the City of Fort Collins is facing in the wake of historically unprecedented growth. She has shown a willingness to listen and respond to her constituents’ concerns while remaining steadfast to her values.
Julie’s record over the past four years has been consistent with a progressive agenda. She has governed with integrity and has not shied away from voting her values. Julie was instrumental in navigating our community through the pandemic during her first years as a City Councilor and has worked tirelessly to address the challenges Fort Collins faces with issues around growth, transportation, the environment and housing.
We are not enamored with her opponent, who undermined the City’s years-long effort to address housing affordability with a campaign of misinformation and what former opponent Sean McCoy called “an agenda of self-interest and regressive policies.”
